I am studying the policy processes and practices through which green spaces are protected and managed in urban area in Japan. The study has been conducted in Tokyo, Chiba, Sapporo and Fukuoka etc. The results have been published as follows:

Green Space Conservation Policy and Management in Greater London:

I am reviewing policies and practices associated with the planning and management of open spaces in London. This study was carried out while I was a visiting research fellow at the Department of Geography, University College London April 1999 to March 2000. I conducted a detailed study of the conservation policies and practices associated with wildlife habitats in the London Borough of Barnet. The results have been published as follows.
